PCE strives to fully exploit the benefits offered by precast concrete construction systems by modeling each project in theory prior to commencing construction on site. All drawings and technical information will be reviewed by our project managers to ensure that what we are undertaking is feasible and can be executed safely, and to ensure that our site teams have all the relevant information to complete their construction activities to the required standard. This planning exercise is vitally important to ensure programmes are always achievable in a safe manner, take account of demands on the supply chain, on internal resources and any interfaces with other works on site.
A fully detailed erection schedule is compiled to identify every individual component within the project, where it is situated within the structure, what day and at what time it will be required on site for installation. Any ancillary components, fixings or materials required for the permanent works will also be identified along with what resource is required in terms of manpower, cranes, and temporary works .es. This provides a fully 'logic-linked' construction programme, which allows us to undertake a detailed coordination review with all other stakeholders on the project to ensure a collaborative approach to project delivery.
