One of the key aspects in maximising the potential of precast concrete as a construction solution is to take advantage of the speed and quality generated through a prefabricated product. It is vitally important on any precast scheme to get the basic principles and logic of delivering the project right from day one. Particularly as the construction of the superstructure is more often than not, on the critical path of delivering the project. PCE is always conscious that its site activities and performance will drive the progression of the wider project programme.
Consequently, PCE engages with all project stakeholders as early as possible to guarantee a collaborative approach to delivering a project. Every finite element of co-ordination is considered and developed so as to ensure PCE is able to deliver its commitments to the team.
A fully-detailed project delivery plan will be drawn up including resource schedules, logistics plans and 'element-by-element' installation plans. Every hour of every day through the construction phase will be assigned with the specific tasks required to deliver the project on time and to the highest quality. PCE will make available the necessary manpower, equipment and resource to complete the works, along with a fully coordinated project delivery schedule to allow the complete co-ordination of the supply chain.
