PCE plans new HQ as it looks to the future
PCE’s plans for a new company headquarters are now taking shape with construction set to begin in the New Year and a move planned for mid-2015.
Details of the planned development at Amington, Tamworth, are now being finalised in preparation for groundworks starting soon after detailed planning consent is finalised.
The two and a half acre site will provide around 9,000 sq ft of office space a further 10,500 sq ft covered warehouse and around an acre of outdoor storage.
This will mean PCE have a third more office space than at its current leased premises and more secure warehousing space, with scope to double storage capacity to accommodate future expansion. It will equip the company for growth in the foreseeable future.
The project is being co-ordinated to ensure completion by the time the lease expires on PCE’s current premises runs out two years from now.
Explains PCE Chairman Vince Wetton: “The scope of PCE’s operations has widened tremendously with our emergence as the UK leader in specialist precast concrete design and build. We are expanding as we secure more and more major contracts and need more space to accommodate this both now and into the future.
“Although PCE will design and erect the precast frame because it’s what we do best, the remainder of the work will be contracted out to avoid deflecting us from our main business, which continues to grow despite challenging times.”
