Logistics Coordination

Logistics management and coordination is one of the cornerstone services that PCE offers prior to and during construction activities. Every project that we undertake is centred upon a streamlined efficient use of the resources available to us for the delivery of the project. The key to maximising our outputs during the construction phase and streamlining our on-site programme is that every component we install is done so on a just in time basis. This means that the pre-planning of our works, the effective communication and coordination of our plan and the resource and skills to execute the plan are vital to our success. It is for this reason that we give significant emphasis to providing adequate and effective management resource to the coordination of on-site logistics. The sequencing of structural components to site, the way they are loaded and delivered, on-site traffic management and crane coordination are all undertaken by our dedicated management teams so as to ensure the optimum usage of any critical resource.

In addition to site productivity, we also recognise the huge impact that site logistics can have on the general safety of those working on site. Vehicle movements and crane operations are issues that don't just affect PCE but also the wider site population and in some instances the supply chain. These issues are also considered and managed by PCE during the course of our works.
