PCE selects supply chain partners based upon their ability to deliver to the required programme. With the site commencement date and construction duration driving the lead-in period, the traditional constraints within the prefabricated construction systems market are removed. Designer's outputs married to a manufacturer's capacity no longer need to dictate the overall duration of delivering a superstructure. PCE's strategy is to identify the optimum construction programme aligned to the requirements of our client and then establish a delivery team to satisfy this.

If a project presents a particular challenge with manufacturing capacity an issue, PCE simply extends the supply chain to generate the required capacity with products being distributed based upon other factors such as expertise, capability and geography. By effectively having an infinite manufacturing capacity, PCE can reduce traditional lead-in to project build and avoid the risk of relying on one supplier with a finite manufacturing capacity. This broad supply chain also generates a resilience and flexibility during delivery so that in the event of a problem, we are able to switch suppliers and avopid compromising the wider programme.

By influencing the design with both a manufacturing and construction bias, PCE are able to identify opportunities for efficiency and optimisation before the opportunity is missed. Through smarter design and control of the logistical principles of delivering the scheme, we are able to develop programmes that are allied to all stakeholders' capabilities and which optimise critical site resources such as craneage or daylight. Construction efficiencies are further enhanced through the use of simple, practical construction details that are easy to manufacture and construct. These efficiencies translate into unsurpassed levels of productivity on site that have seen PCE continually exceed industry norms.
