We focus early in the design process on our client's deliverables, allowing us to gain a sound understanding of the key project issues. We can then work with the principal designers and the supply chain members in developing improved product solutions, challenging the norm and setting new standards.
The custodial sector, with its primary objectives of meeting security requirements and delivering functional spaces, lends itself perfectly to the integration of other elements within the precast components. Current specifications include;
- Factory installed cell windows – grilles, ventilation and glazing elements.
- Factory installed cell doors – complete primed sets, frame and leaf.
- Fully integrated conduit runs for switches, lighting and all security provisions.
- Complete shower solution with cast in gulley and feed, falls provided in floor slab and full height vanity screen.
- Fully integrated heating coils to floor elements.
- Open duct riser configurations allowing modular services to be incorporated.
- Integrated connection points for installation of balustrades and suicide nets.
- External composite sandwich panels with a multitude of façade finishes.
In addition to houseblocks PCE offer prefabricated solutions for ancillary buildings within prison facilities. Our flexibility within the precast market means that any product and any system is available to us.
PCE's custodial solution will develop further as our clients challenge our service and we in turn challenge them.
