Crosswall Cellular Construction

Often referred to as 'cellular construction', precast wall panels and floor slabs are manufactured as single elements which are then connected together on site to produce 'box type' structures. The term crosswall is derived from the primary load bearing support walls, typically the `cross wall` between rooms which provides lateral stability with longitudinal stability achieved through the external wall or 'diaphragm action' back to cores. Plan arrangements are not limited to a linear approach; this construction form can be adapted, by careful design, specification and selection of products, to more bespoke projects.
